Okay, fall is conference season for me, and I try to attend at least one conference if not more. Yet it has been a couple years since I been to one of big national conferences. And I think it is about time for me go again. I am not always a fan of the big conferences as there is just so much going on its hard to figure it all out. Yet, I do learn a ton and they are fun.

With that said, one of my favorite conferences are DevOpsDays as they are smaller, and focused on what I want and need. The open space talks are usually the best way to learn and network. Thus for sure I will be going to Philly DevOpsDays.

Moving on, the real question is should I try to add one of the big conference to my schedule. And there really are only two I would choose from; AWS Re:invent or DevOps Enterprise Summit (DOES). Both are in the fall and in Las Vegas which is great but adds a bunch of costs.

DOES has a bigger breath of learning opportunities yet AWS have more in-depth type of learning about it cloud.

I will need to think about it. Plus, I need to ask my managers about getting the funds to attend one of the bigger conferences.

More to come
